VFA-27 'Royal Maces' 1997 - By a former Mace DriverA nice video put together by one of our own with lots of Royal Mace footage flying the F/A-18C. Carrier footage is from the USS Independence CV-62.
VA-27 'Royal Maces' 1971 - By former Mace Driver Steve RussellThis is an authentic combat mission filmed from an A-7E Corsair II carrier based attack aircraft deployed aboard the USS Enterprise. This was filmed with Super 8 movie film and edited with very basic technology in 1971.The sound track was added in 1972. The narration was accurate at the time, but is no longer, of course. It was later converted to VHS and then to DVD. It was recently edited to under 10 minutes. I apologize for the quality. It was filmed from June to December in 1971. It is dedicated to the officers and men of Attack Squadron 27, and those who served aboard the USS Enterprise.
VA-27 'Royal Maces' 1971 - By former Mace Driver Steve RussellEver want to fly a Navy jet high over the mountains and low and fast over the desert? Me too! Fly along with me. The aircraft is an A-7E Corsair II and the desert is in Nevada.
VA-27 'Royal Maces' 1971 - By former Mace Driver Steve RussellEver want to fly a Navy jet low and fast along the California coast? Me too! Come along for the ride and see the famous Hearst Castle, then explore the scenic coast range. Oh, we'll be flying a brand new A-7E Corsair II, single-seat, single-engine attack aircraft.
